1. Be respectful.
The GMs reserve the right to delete comments deemed inappropriate, completely off-topic, sarcastic, bullying, and so on.
2. Be professional.
Generally speaking, text-based discussions and forums make it very easy to misinterpret tone or intention. Make it easier for everyone by using clear, professional language; complete sentences; and refrain from using emoticons. Any messages deemed unprofessional will be deleted.
3. Don't troll.
This goes hand-in-hand with the other two. Trolling, defined as "posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion," often makes bad situations worse. It will not be tolerated.
4. Use your actual name as your username.
This rule is in place to ensure that everyone knows who is commenting on a given topic at all times. Any accounts set up with pseudonyms will be deleted and you will have to re-register.
